Sometimes... people around you make you wonder how far we are from THE truth. We have been made to start living and lead our lives in a particular style constrained by certain set of rules. A guide passed on to generations on 'How to Live and conduct oneself'. We have been fed since birth, a lecture on who should be important to us, how should we be treating them and how 'good' is good for us and 'bad' is bad for us. Frankly, I do not consider this as shitload.. only because it is meaningful to my elders. But I just can't help myself from thinking a bit differently. What I really want to do is follow my instincts, my heart as I know that I am guided by my higher souls.
I do know that this line of thought has been pondered over and discussed a lot. I won't want to talk about it too as I know that we all are 'aware' individuals. What I want to say here is that I'm trying to break out of a certain system.. a certain rule set.
If only we all were closer to THE truth, it wouldn't have been this difficult for me, for believe it or not, I have stayed with the 'guide' for 26 years which is why I can't help myself from thinking about everyone affected by my state if mind, be it happy or sad.
If only we could do what we truly wanted to do, what our heart suggested..
If only we didn't attach our happiness with others..
If only our schooling was a bit closer to the TRUTH.

Wht I undrstnd frm the above verse is that truth does exist n not only does it exists but it can n wil b found by those who honestly seek after it. I read Bible twice a day; initially it was fed into my system, but now I feel the urge of readin n above tht understandin the truth. It gives me immense self confidence n positive attitude towards my daily routine.
Anyhow I’m vry happy 2 c u writin dwn ur heart; it’s very encouragin tht u wnt to think n identify the TRUTH. Most ppl don wanna think. They keep listening to ppl they think they can trust n then they believe wht they r told. That's exactly y propaganda wrks so efficiently. Socrates encouraged his followers 2 think n he was accused of corruptin the youth. The reason is pretty clear; when u think 4 urself u may come out with answrs tht deviate frm the accepted truths of society. Tht means a lot of ppl wil b upset n against u.
I accept tht my knowledge towards truth is partial n uncertain but I do bcum vry concerned about the times we r livin in bcoz ppl r more willing to listen to lies than to learn the truth. Truth involves not only a search but also a struggle…

Truth involves not only a search but also a struggle... a very powerful line i must say. I agree with what you've written although i never meant to write anything against Bible or any other holy book, for that matter it's not even about a book, but the thought process that has been accepted by everyone without any question. I am, on the contrary in favour of the holy books (not the amended versions ofcource, coz I believe most of them have been changed by the 'authorities' so that people don't become aware individuals) as they are much closer to the truth, one just needs to interpret them in the right manner.
Truth is inside us. Thats what I believe in, but the struggle is when others (those who are close to you) discount it completely. it's a lost battle from the start. I want everyone to seek their own truth, it will mean different to everyone but the journey is so pleasant that you won't care about the destination. However, coming back to my point, education system should be changed to bring about more sorted out individuals.

However, truth as you say shipra, is very much within us, inside us, but something is overpowering the truth. And that troubles me so much...
The evolution, the wisdom, the consciousness, all will happen with everyone, but it will all depend upon the degree of effort tht one is trying with himself/herself against the "something else" that is creating more gap between the human and the TRUTH.
Guys, it’s nothing to do with religion, holy books etc etc...Please donot limit your thought once again.
It’s about u and the truth, the realm of your existence.
We all have the same compositions, same rhythm in us, we just need to realise it and keep searching on and on.
You know when i do it through my normal practices, i dont look for an answer dont expect to get ru-ba-ru with "TRUTH" after any particular activity.
But having said tht, everytime when i ponder over my feelings that i go through, i feel more close to the reality. That’s ECSTASY for me.
Like the movie, I understand, Truth is always “Inconvenient" but kill that gap. Explore and raise yourself High....Much Much above where you are today.
If I will write some thing about truth perhaps will choose the same title as yours “why are we away from the truth” but my contents will be bit different. For me the truth is something which 90% of people believe in it. I might agree with you on the fact that we all are different individuals and we own most of our lives. We have all the right to live our life the way we want. But the family system is there and will remain and some time one has to compromise a bit in order to more face happy.
You have been able to express yourself very nicely and easy manner, I particularly like the way you details your thoughts. Keep it up.
"If only we didn't attach our happiness with others"...so true.if only all understand that we are responsible for our happiness and no one else, the world would be a much pleasant place.And dat can only happen when we establish such a high life condition for ourselves that our circumstances and people cease to affect us. We would be living in bliss then.But its not as easy as it sounds, cause their is a very thin line between being a happy, strong self,involved in life AND an indifferent, self absorbed recluse.(That could be PARTIALY a reason, y the various religious books talk about right, wrong, good, bad).
All I know is, If we are on Earth, there is a purpose for us being here.Scince the universe doesnt function without any reason.So we need to seek our happiness during our time here and in our daily lives.We need to seek our truth here, now...and wherever we are is because we were meant to be there.
And thats d truth and nothing but the truth. Hey if u read TRUTH backwards its pronounced as HTURT..Man it does:)
